AEGEE SALERNO
AEGEE-Salerno, is considerated as one of the oldest in Europe, and one of the
most important of Italy, both for its history and its action. During the years,
AEGEE-Salerno has organized a lot of social and cultural exchanges with other
associations and 19 Summer Universities (low price courses of Italian language
for foreign students). After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Agora in Salerno opens up AEGEE to local antennae outside the European Community,
making it one of the first European organisations to expand beyond the old Iron Curtain.
AEGEE-Salerno at the University of Salerno
The connection between AEGEE-Salerno and the university increased a lot in the
last few years thanks to the role played by our association to promote the integration
of the foreign students (erasmus-students) who study at the University of Salerno.
Our association helps them to find a place to stay and to make the integration
at the university easier.
Helping the foreign students with their little problems of everyday-life, indicating
our tipical way of life, guiding them to the most beautiful places of our city,...
makes of the AEGEE-membres real voluntarily organizers of the image of Salerno
in Europe.
We also organize a lot of parties, meetings, excursions, sport-events, musical-events,...together
with the erasmus-students.
AEGEE-Salerno in Europe
Remarkable is the activity of AEGEE-Salerno in the calendar of european events
of general interest: during 15 years they organised more then 20 international
events at Salerno: 13 Summer Universities (the longest and funniest event of
AEGEE), an Agorà European (oceanic meeting, with the participation of
delegates of all the european antennas) and last year, the "Summer University
and Fund Raising Training Corse" (thematic conference about sponsor-risearch
for student-associations and youth).
AEGEE-Salerno is growing
All the funny and pleasant activities of AEGEE-Salerno, the possibility to participate,
in a new and stimulating way, to the pubblicity of the image of our city,...are
elements that helped growing our association: the number of membres still grows,
which means that our association is always open for new people...
Our headquarter, in the Socrates/Erasmus office, is open every morning to take
a break during the studies of our membres and to organise all the social events...but
most of all...to welcome your visit!!!!!
